There are ways to put notes and comments on profiles in Ancestry and FamilySearch, but because the wiki format is so free-form, I can put a well-sourced set of questions in a Research Notes section or list links to blog posts with discussions.
If someone finds that page one day and provides an answer, it's easy to update the page, and the change history is saved so anyone can come back later and retrace the development of that research.
