I have an Ancestry tree where I'm connecting all the individuals who are in the digital records for Acerra, Italy since they are pretty much all related by blood or marriage. I have a Facebook page about Acerra Genealogy and members who do not have an Ancestry account can view the tree for free if I send them a personalized invitation.

While I don't use WikiTree, I do want to give a shout-out to the one individual who had a source no one on Ancestry or FamilySearch had used. Because of his citation, I was able to view the original source which ended up being essential to the story I was writing.

I have an account and uploaded my GEDcom years ago but haven’t done anything with it since. Can people edit what I put up or are some things un-changeable?

People can edit almost anything - though there are some actions (like profile merges) that require approval from the profile manager.

Ah thank you. I’m already dealing with that on FamilySearch. There are random people who will not respond to messages trying to figure out how we are related who add random wrong records to my ancestors.

Another informative post. My tree is on several sites, including WikiTree, but I've not updated it. Like you, I work on my tree through Ancestry but often don't update the others. I'll look into WikiTree a bit more now. Thanks.
