Hopewell was one of the five ships that brought Presbyterian Scotch-Irish to South Carolina in the 1700s. Many Presbyterian churches are named after the five ships especially Hopewell.
I did find that site when I researched this post, but that Hopewell church is in a different part of Ohio.
I hadn't known that the original building had burned down until I found the page for the catholic congregation, and then I went back to the Hill history and saw that he did say the building was sold.
It was a real challenge turning the convoluted prose in the scattered sources into a narrative.
